A rare pair of Persian Turquoise Victorian Enamel Dangle Drop Earrings in 10 Karat Gold. The exquisite earrings have a Persian Turquoise cabochon in the center. The color of the Turquoise is absolutely wonderful. The earrings are decorated with black enamel (taille d'epargne). The earrings are 10 Karat Gold. The bottom terminal beads are a grey metal I believe, although they could be enamel. The earrings are a wonderful size and the gold work is gorgeous. With elegant romantic design and the rare use of Persian Turquoise, the earrings are exquisite examples of Victorian jewelry making. The earrings date to circa 1850-1900. The earrings are 1 inch (26mm) long from the top of the hooks to the bottom. The oval medallions are 11mm by 8mm. The earrings have shepherd hooks. The earrings are 10 Karat Gold. Together the earrings weigh 1 gram. There is a tiny bit of black enamel loss on the earrings.
